The decision is made. Selim Amallah (26) leaves Standard for the Spanish team Real Valladolid. The Moroccan international is currently on his way to Spain to take his medical and physical tests. He will then sign a contract for 4.5 seasons until 2027. Standard will receive a maximum of two million euros (one million basic amount and one million in bonuses) for his attacking midfielder.
Amallah settled on Sclessin in the summer of 2019 and played 3.5 seasons for Standard. In 97 games, he scored 31 goals and 11 assists. This season he had a strong start to the competition, but was sent to the B-squad in October because he refused to honor verbal agreements about a contract extension.
After his strong World Cup with Morocco, he was in the interest of Nottingham Forest, Valencia and Almeria, but in the end the choice fell on Valladolid, a team that is currently in relegation trouble in La Liga.
