Borussia Dortmund still takes the win in Mainz after a goal in 93rd minute

Borussia Dortmund has just not dropped a stitch on the field of mid-engine Mainz 05. The Borusses seemed to be heading for a 1-1 draw, but in the 93rd minute Giovanni Reyna pushed redemption against the ropes.

The home side quickly took control and put the opening goal on the scoreboard after just 120 seconds via Lee Jae-Sung. Just as many seconds later, Dortmund brought itself back into the game thanks to winter transfer Ryerson. Nota bene the replacement for the injured Thomas Meunier.

It also seemed to stay at that intermediate score, but the venom was in the tail. Substitute Reyna was in the right place on the headed corner to save Dortmund from losing points. 1-2 in minute 93.

Dortmund therefore jumps from seventh to third place in the Bundesliga, with 31 points on the counter. Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin can still transfer later in the evening.
