According to the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Midtylland wants to permanently recruit Kristoffer Olsson (27). The Swedish midfielder is now rented from Anderlecht and is performing well. In 15 matches – also in the Europa League – Olsson scored 2 goals.
According to the Danish sources, Midtylland has a purchase option of about 4 million euros, but would now like to negotiate with RSCA to lower it. The problem is that the 42-year-old international in Brussels would earn about 600,000 euros a year and is still fixed there until 2025. That salary is also on the high side for Midtylland.
Nevertheless, the Danish club sees negotiation opportunities because Anderlecht can use the money well. Moreover, Midtylland recently sold Anders Dreyer to Purple & White and relations are good. Although CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg already spoke positively about Olsson, he has to make good assessments. Anderlecht already has 6 players on loan this season – Olsson, Bundu, Wellenreuther, Mykhaylichenko, Colassin, Dauda – and the limit is 8 players on loan. It could create some budget and space if Olsson were to become a permanent deal.
