Elise Mertens’ doubles quarterfinal at the Australian Open has been moved by one day to Wednesday, the organization confirmed. It will be the second game (not before 3 AM Belgian time) in the Margaret Court Arena.

At the side of the Australian Storm Hunter, with whom she forms the fourth seed, Mertens will play against the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and the Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse.

Alexander Blockx’s second doubles match in the junior tournament has also been postponed by a day. In the fourth match on court 13, he will play with Brazilian Joao Fonseca against Canadian Keegan Rice and South Korean Roh Hoyoung. Earlier in the day (around 2:30 am) the 17-year-old Blockx comes into action on the same court in the third round of the singles against Bulgarian Adriano Dzhenev.

Wheelchair tennis player Joachim Gérard takes his chance in doubles after his quick exit in the singles tournament. In match three at the Kia Arena (around 6am) he will play with the Japanese Takuya Miki against the British Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid.
