There is a good chance that Alfred Schreuder will have an extra assistant. On Friday, two days before the Classic against Feyenoord (1-1), the entire Ajax selection indicated that they were dissatisfied with the current staff, but they were already thinking about shaking things up before that.

Friday’s conversation – without trainers – in the dressing room was an initiative of the players’ council of Ajax, which consists of Dusan Tadic, Steven Berghuis, Edson Alvarez, Davy Klaassen and Jurriën Timber. After the question from mental coach Joost Leenders who was bothered by the staff, everyone raised their hands. It was decided to ‘park’ that feeling until after the Classic and to continue talking this week.
On Monday, despite the draw at leader Feyenoord (1-1), there was a crisis meeting in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the outcome of which for the time being is that Schreuder may stay.
The Ajax management acknowledges that promises to the new Ajax coach have not been kept, sensed resilience in the team against Feyenoord and is confident that against FC Volendam (home), Excelsior (away), Cambuur (away) and RKC (home ) twelve points are taken.
