Bjorn Meijer (Club Brugge) plays another half for the Dutch Juniors, Standard striker scores third goal in three international matches

The Dutch national team U21 won 0-5 against Gibraltar. Club Brugge left back Bjorn Meijer, who played 55 minutes against Georgia last Thursday, was allowed to participate in another half. Standard striker Noah Ohio made the 0-2 and thus has three goals in his last three international matches.

Club Brugge has a left back in Maxim De Cuyper who is doing well at left back, but trainer Ronny Deila seems to have an extra option (again) soon.

The Dutchman Bjorn Meijer, who received praise in Bruges last season, but has been struggling with his abdominal muscles since the summer, seems to be well on his way back.

He already participated in half with Club NXT and was in the match selection for the top match against Standard, now he also has 100 minutes under his counter in two international matches with the Dutch Juniors. Against Georgia he played 55 minutes and scored two goals, five days later he was back in the starting line-up in Gibraltar and played until half time.

If the Belgian promises were to qualify for the 2025 European Championship, there is a good chance that they will encounter the Netherlands there. Under the new national coach Michael Reiziger, the young Dutch scored 12 out of 12. They did not concede a single goal and scored thirteen times.

Kenneth Taylor opened the scoring after twelve minutes, Standard striker Noah Ohio added a second one a minute later. Myron van Brederode made it 0-3 before halftime. After halftime, Devyne Rensch and Million Manhoef also got on the scoreboard.
