Eleven has visited troublemaker Didier Lamkel Zé for an interview. When asked whether he would have liked to have played in Belgium, more specifically at Standard, the Cameroonian responded with an open application to several top clubs.

Lamkel Zé played at a high level for Antwerp for some time, but due to his unpredictability he also lost his way in terms of sport. The Cameroonian was loaned to Slovakian DAC, FK Chimki and Metz before moving to KV Kortrijk. In mid-2023, Lamkel Zé signed a contract with the Turkish first division club Hatayspor, but he has not played there recently, according to Transfermarkt with an unknown injury.

Eleven visited the talented troublemaker and asked him if he would like to return to Belgium, more specifically Standard.

“I couldn’t refuse Standard,” says Lamkel Zé. “Standard is one of the largest clubs in Belgium. With its audience you can’t say no to Standard. In 2022 I ended up at Metz. I was at Antwerp and people talked to me about Standard. We drove to Liège and I gave my agreement. I said that it was up to them to look at it with Antwerp. I cannot close the door to the Belgian competition. But if I return, it will be to play at a club like Standard. Anderlecht, I don’t know, because I used to play there when I was younger. But Standard, Anderlecht and why not Genk. If I come to Belgium again, it will be to play for a club that competes at the top.
