Westerlo striker Lyle Foster almost has a top transfer: Burnley wants to pay 7 million plus 3 million in bonuses for the South African

Lyle Foster (22) gets his way. And Westerlo hit the jackpot. The South African attacker moves to Burnley, which has about 7 million euros and about 3 million in bonuses for him.

Vincent Kompany’s club had been angling for Foster’s services for a while, but the Kempeners wanted to get the most out of it. The papers still have to be signed, but now that the above amount is on the table, he basically played his last match on Belgian soil in Waregem. Only the medical tests can throw a spanner in the works.

After the match, Foster himself did not want to comment, but after the bus ride to Westerlo he confirmed the transfer to his teammates and thanked them personally for the great period in ‘t Kuipje.

Foster had been with Westerlo since July 2021 and will be the outgoing record transfer.
