10 out of 10 for Kangaeroes Mechelen in Top Division Women, Castors Braine wins top match

In the Top Division Women (first division women) Kangoeroes Mechelen remains unapproachable. The champion won for the tenth consecutive time. This time against Sparta Laarne. Castors Braine won the top match against Kortrijk Spurs and remains second with 9 out of 11.

Kangoeroes Mechelen is doing in the competition what is not working in the Euroleague Women for the time being. The Maneblussers won under the leadership of, among others, Ziomara Morrison (18 points, 8 rebounds), Morgane Bertsch (28 points, 13 rebounds) and Lisa Berkani (18 points, 8 rebounds) and after a 51-21 score halfway with 97-51 of Sparta Larne.

In the top match between Castors Braine and Kortrijk Spurs, the Walloon-Brabant team won. Reka Lelic (22 points, 5 rebounds), Jessica Lindstrom (11 points, 13 rebounds) and Mattea Tadic (15 points) were the strongholds for the vice champion who finally triumphed 77-51 after a 37-27 bonus halfway. Ine Joris signed for 14 points and 10 rebounds and Lisa Foucart for 16 points with the West Flemings. Castors Braine remains second with 9 out of 11 and Kortrijk Spurs is tied for fifth place with 7 out of 11.

Double-double for top talent

Namur Capitale also counts 7 out of 11 after winning (50-86, halftime: 25-49) in Spirou Ladies Charleroi. Marjorie Carpréaux (19 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists) and Wivine Defosset (28 points) were the top scorers at Namur Capitale.

Phantoms Boom triumphed after a 41-37 score halfway with Waregem 83-71. Sam Van Buggenhout (13 points, 14 rebounds) and Jaelencia Williams (13 points, 14 rebounds) were the strongholds for the Steenbakkers. The 18-year-old talent and Belgian Cat Nastja Claessens signed for an impressive double-double (30 points, 12 rebounds). Phantoms Boom is fourth with 8 out of 12. Waregem counts 6 out of 13 and is seventh. Lummen won after a 30-32 score and after a nail-biter 64-63 against Brunehaut. Janne Schillebeeks scored 17 points and picked up 7 rebounds.
