Ai ai ai Vincent Kompany: Burnley loses basement game after a beautiful goal against and VAR decision in extra time

Vincent Kompany faces a sleepless night. Burnley lost 2-1 to Bournemouth on matchday ten in the Premier League and thus dropped to the penultimate place in the standings.

‘The Clarets’ took an early lead thanks to a nice shot from Charlie Taylor. However, the same Taylor stupidly gave the ball away ten minutes later, allowing Antoine Semenyo to level the score. Fifteen minutes before the end, Philip Billing secured the final score with a far lob. He then came with a beautiful message on his shirt.

In extra time, Burnley seemed to get another point after a goal by Jay Rodriguez. However, that was ruled out for offside after a five-minute break. At Burnley, only Ameen Al-Dakhil was between the lines for ninety minutes, Mike Trésor came on late and Hannes Delcroix remained on the bench.

Bournemouth recorded their first win of the season and moved to 17th place with 6 points. Kompany and Burnley are stuck at 4 points. Only Sheffield United, which lost 5-0 to Arsenal, has fewer points (1).

Arsenal continues to follow in the footsteps of leader Tottenham with the victory. The Gunners are now two points behind their city rivals, while Bournemouth is back in safe waters for the time being. Burnley and Sheffield are penultimate and last.

In the English second division, leader Leicester did not miss a beat at QPR (1-2). Red Devil Wout Faes remained on the bench for the entire match. For the time being, the Foxes are again five points ahead of first pursuer Ipswich, QPR is penultimate.
