The Cremonese of Cyriel Dessers has dismissed coach Massimiliano Alvini (52). Despite a goal from Dessers, the PhD candidate lost 2-3 to Monza on Saturday, already the fourth defeat in a row. More worryingly, Cremonese has yet to win a single Serie A win this season.

With seven points from eighteen games, the club is therefore desolately last. It is also eight points behind first place above the relegation zone.

Dessers’ goal was therefore of no avail for Massimiliano Alvini, who has been at the helm of Cremonese since last summer. For our compatriot, it was his third goal in sixteen league games as an employee of the club from Lombardy. Dessers, who came over from Genk for about 6 million euros last year, is usually a basic player at Cremonese.
