22-year-old striker Cyril Ngonge has found a solution for his lack of playing time at FC Groningen. Ngonge leaves the Dutch competition behind and goes to Italy. He signs a 2.5-year contract with Hellas Verona, with an option for two additional seasons.

Ngonge must first undergo medical tests. The Belgian had been around with Verona for some time on a personal level, but the clubs had to agree again. That is now the case. At FC Groningen, the former player of Club Brugge ended up on a side track. He did not play any more matches and was only allowed to train with the reserves. The reason for this was that, according to the team, Ngonge did not adhere to the current norms and values of the team.

After RKC, Jong PSV, Club Brugge and FC Groningen, the Italian first division team is now the fifth team in Ngonge’s career.
