AC Milan, with only Alexis Saelemaekers in the base of the Belgians, did not get further than a draw on the field of mid-engined Lecce on Saturday evening. The Rossoneri did catch up twice.
Halfway through, Milan owed two goals after an early own goal by Theo Hernandez and Federico Baschirotto’s doubling of the score midway through the first half. After the break, Rafael Leao and captain Davide Calabria thwarted defeat for the reigning Italian champions.
Alexis Saelemaekers started at AC Milan in the starting line-up and remained in the dressing room during half-time, while Divock Origi entered the playing field about 20 minutes before the end and Aster Vranckx was allowed to take another handful of minutes. Charles De Ketelaere, on the other hand, did not leave the bench. A gradually worrying situation for the Red Devil, who is unable to persevere at Milan. His last starting place in the league, where he was only good for an assist, dates back to the beginning of October.
Despite the division of points, AC Milan is still only second in Serie A. It has 38 points and follows well behind authoritarian leader Napoli (47 points), which had no child at Juventus on Friday.
