Euroleague Women: defeat for Kangaroes Mechelen, victory for Kim Mestdagh

In the Euroleague Women, the ninth match day brought a loss for Kangoeroes Mechelen in De Schalk in Willebroek against DVTK Hun-Therm. Still in group B there was a win for Kim Mestdagh with Schio.

Many Hungarian fans in De Schalk van Willebroek. Kangaeroes Mechelen, without Belgian Cat Laure Resimont (foot), was offensive in the first half and via Lisa Berkani (18 points), Ziomara Morrison (12 points, 18 rebounds) and Morgan Bertsch (16 points) it went after a 25-26 standings to a 41-44 deficit for the Maneblussers halfway. In the second half, the Hungarian ladies shifted up a gear. DVTK Hun-Therm took distance via Arella Guirantes (21 points, 16 rebounds) and Reka Bernath (19 points), among others. From 47-67 it went to a 60-96 Hungarian victory. With 1 out of 9, Kangoeroes Mechelen remains last in group B. Still in group B, Kim Mestdagh won (9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist) with the Italian Schio 70-65 against the Spanish Girona. With 6 out of 9, the Italian champion is in second place. The top four of the two groups of eight qualified for the quarter finals after 14 match days. In group A, the Fenerbahce Istanbul with Emma Meesseman is in first place with a 7 out of 9.
