Raphael Holzhauser (29) temporarily leaves the Jupiler Pro League. The stylish midfielder from OH Leuven will be loaned for the rest of the season to TSV München 1860, which plays in the German third division.
Holzhauser was plucked from relegated Beerschot by Marc Brys in the mid-season, but the Austrian (former) international has not yet been able to make his mark at OH Leuven. In fourteen league matches, Holzhauser – often as a substitute – did not get further than one goal and four assists. Last weekend he completed the 90 minutes in the 2-3 defeat against Kortrijk.
The Austrian midfielder is now on loan to TSV Munich 1860. The tradition club is in sixth place after seventeen match days and is therefore still in the running for promotion to the Second Bundesliga.
After this season, Holzhauser will return to Den Dreef, where he is still under contract until mid-2024.
