Noah Mbamba (18) is on his way – as expected – to leave Club Brugge for free. For the Belgian youth international, who has been courted by almost all European top clubs for a while, a contract is ready with Leverkusen. For a transition in the summer that is. A bid was not received in Bruges, the German top club is making use of its expiring commitment.

Mbamba, one of Club’s bigger talents, came to the surface at the age of sixteen under Philippe Clement, but was not allowed to play under Alfred Schreuder last season and therefore did not want to sign. When Carl Hoefkens took over as coach, there was hope again, because he played an important role in his transfer and development. Mbamba also made minutes at the start of the season. Only he started hesitantly and Onyedika added a topper to his position, so that he disappeared from view again.

An agreement was in sight for a while because Club made a nice proposal, but then he was missing again in the selection and we were back to square one. Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona,…: the foreign top clubs were clamoring to sign him, but at Leverkusen they are confident. There it can be heard that he will be the first transfer for next season. (dvd, blah)
