Matz Sels gets a new trainer at his French club Strasbourg. Julien Stéphan was fired because of the disappointing results. T2 Mathieu Le Scornet takes over for the time being.

Strasbourg is in nineteenth and penultimate place in Ligue 1 with eleven points from seventeen matches. Ajaccio, sixteenth (and first non-relegated), has four points more.

The 42-year-old Stéphan has been training Strasbourg since the summer of 2021. He led the club to sixth place in Ligue 1 last season, but this season the team from Alsace won only once.
