Serbian Ivan Marinkovic moves to Telenet Giants Antwerp

Ivan Marinkovic is the Giants’ new center.

Telenet Giants Antwep has signed the 2m08 tall Serbian center Ivan Marinković (1993) until the end of this season, replacing the American Royce Hamm. The team of coach Ivica Skelin is complete again.

“Marinkovic is an experienced center with a high basketball IQ. He comes over from Borac Čačak from the Serbian and Adriatic league. Before that he was also active in the Slovenian league, where he became champion twice with Primorska and Cedivita Olimpija Ljubljana and also won the cup and the super cup,” said general manager Eddy Faus of Telenet Giants Antwerp.

Marinkovic was also active at Koper Primorska and Zadar. In the 2019-2020 season, he averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds with Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana. He arrives in Antwerp on Tuesday and makes his debut in the derby against Kangoeroes Mechelen on Friday. (cpm)
