Dramatic start for Anderlecht in the Brussels derby: the Purple & White have to continue with ten after a few minutes after a strange VAR phase

For Anderlecht, the Brussels derby against Union has already become a hellish assignment after barely 9 minutes. Moussa N’Diaye received a direct red card after a VAR intervention for bringing down the broken Lazare. There was again quite a bit of confusion around that VAR intervention: initially it was flagged for offside, so it was unclear for a long time why ref Bram Van Driessche was called to the screen.
