PSV resumes Dutch competition with a scoreless draw against Sparta

PSV did not get further than a scoreless draw against Sparta on Saturday evening when the Dutch competition resumed on the fifteenth match day. The last game before the long winter break, PSV lost to AZ (0-1) in front of their own audience.

There was a basic place for Arno Verschueren with the visitors, he was taken to the side deep in the final phase. Yorbe Vertessen remained on the bench for the home team throughout the match.

PSV is currently in second place with 31 points due to the new loss of points. Leader Feyenoord (33 points) and number 3 Ajax (30 points) will come into action on Sunday. FC Twente and AZ are in fourth and fifth place with 30 points each. Sparta takes sixth place with 25 points.

Sparta and PSV will play against each other again on Tuesday, then in the national cup tournament.
