Denver Nuggets are alone in the lead in the West thanks to a win against Cleveland, Milwaukee is a bruise at Charlotte

Denver beat Cleveland 121-108 on Friday in the NBA. Thanks to the victory, the Nuggets are currently only at the top of the Western Conference. Charlotte recorded a surprise win against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Hornets took it 138-109.

Nikola Jokic was once again the big turntable for the Nuggets with 28 points. For the Cavaliers, the points of Caris LeVert (22) and Darius Garland (21) were not enough. Denver leads the West with 26 wins against thirteen losses, just ahead of Memphis (25-13). Cleveland (25-15) is fourth in the East.

Charlotte, in turn, started very strong and made no less than 51 points in the first quarter, equaling an NBA record. The Hornets could never deliver such a high score in a quarter before. Terry Rozier and LaMelo Ball had a big part in the victory. Rozier ended up with 39 points, Ball had a total of 24 points to his name. Star player Giannis Antetokounmpo scored just nine points for the Bucks.

Milwaukee is in third place in the Eastern Conference with 25 wins against 14 losses, behind leaders Boston and Brooklyn, who beat New Orleans (108-102) thanks to 33 roses from Kevin Durant. The victory, on the other hand, is a boost for Charlotte, which is in fourteenth and penultimate position.

Furthermore, the Chicago Bulls, the Miami Heat and the LA Lakers also won. With the Bulls, there was no stopping Zach LaVine, who recorded 41 points (11 of which were 3-pointers) and six assists against Philadelphia: 126-112.

Miami’s victory against the Suns came about after a season-best 26 points for Victor Oladipo: 104-96.

LeBron James doubled with 25 points and 10 assists in the Lakers’ 114-130 win against Trae Young’s Atlanta, who collected 32 points. It is the fourth straight win for James and the LA Lakers in the Western Conference.
