After previously Dries Wouters, Iebe Swers and Jorge Hernandez were sent to the Mechelen B-squad, Malinwa no longer counts on Samuel Oum Gouet.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian traveled with his country to Qatar for the World Cup in November, where he completed ninety minutes in the first group match against Switzerland and then came in for nine minutes against Serbia. Behind the Kazerne, Oum Gouet – who has increasingly faded into the background this season and did not get further than three basic places and seven raids – no longer has to count on playing opportunities. By selling the central midfielder, who is still under contract for a year and a half, KV hopes to increase its clout on the transfer market. In contrast to the Wouters-Swers-Hernandez trio, Oum Gouet has not yet trained with the U23 players pending a solution.

Engvall traint mee

The free transfer from Thibaut Peyre to the Saudi Al-Batin FC is in the final straight line. The French defender passed his medical tests and signs for a season and a half in the desert.

Meanwhile, Malinwa welcomed Gustav Engvall to training. The Swede is back after his half-season loan to the Norwegian Sarpsborg 08. If Steven Defour wishes, he can already take the attacker to Gaverbeek on Sunday for the match against Zulte Waregem.
