Philippe Clement sees top talent leave: Chelsea bring in French defender Benoît Badiashile

Chelsea has strengthened its defense with French defender Benoît Badiashile from AS Monaco, coach Philippe Clement’s club. The French international has signed a contract with The Blues until June 2030. The Premier League club confirmed this on Thursday.

The 21-year-old Badiashile was trained at Monaco, where he made his professional debut in November 2018. In total, he made 135 appearances for Monaco, scoring six goals and three assists.

The defender made his debut for the French national team last September, playing 90 minutes twice in the Nations League against Austria and Denmark.
