Bonaventure knocks out another seed and moves into semifinals in Auckland

Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 95) has managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Auckland, New Zealand. The 28-year-old from Liège beat the Canadian Leylah Fernandez (WTA 40), the third seed, in her quarterfinals in two sets (6-4 and 6-2).

On Thursday, Bonaventure bowled another Canadian seed from the tournament in New Zealand with Rebecca Marino (WTA 63). Marino was seeded eighth. Bonaventure qualified for the main draw through the qualifications.
