Through Christian Brüls’ broker, STVV received the message that Zulte Waregem would like to incorporate the midfielder. The Truiense club top is now deliberating whether to let the 34-year-old go.

Brüls’ contract with STVV expires in June. An agreement to break open that agreement never came. That is why the club seems willing to agree to a transfer provided that they can collect a transfer fee for Brüls at Tiensesteenweg.
In addition to the financial aspect, the sporting aspect also plays a role. Zulte Waregem will be the opponent in the quarterfinals of the Belgian Cup next Wednesday (January 10). Moreover, STVV is not yet mathematically sure of conservation. Zulte Waregem wants to take points with Vormer and Brüls in the coming months in order to climb out of the relegation zone. Everything depends on what Takayuki Tateishi and Andre Pinto decide in the next hours or days.
