“Henry has won everything you can win in his career,” Alderweireld said on the broadcast. “Moreover, he knows the team, which is important. I understand that rejuvenation is needed, but you also need to know where we come from. Henry would be the ultimate solution in that regard.”
Last weekend, Sky Italia released an interview in which Romelu Lukaku made it clear that he hoped Thierry Henry would become the new national coach of the Red Devils. “He has to take over. He has a winning mentality, has won everything in his career and respects every player. He knows how to train, he knows how to achieve our goals. He is the ideal man for the job,” said Lukaku.
The Red Devils said goodbye to national coach Roberto Martinez after the disappointing World Cup in Qatar. Henry has been his T2 for the past few years.
