The head is off for Scott Parker: he led his first training session at Club Brugge on Tuesday morning, where the players gathered after a short holiday. There was also good news, because Yaremchuk and Nielsen were on the field.

Where Scott Parker was mainly concerned with media obligations and other logistics on Monday, the real work started Tuesday morning. For the first time, the Englishman was on the training field at Club Brugge. With a chronometer around his neck and in a blue and black tracksuit, preparations for his first competition match on Sunday began. And that is immediately on the move at Genk, the proud leader of the Jupiler Pro League. A test indeed.

There was good news in that respect in the training complex. Nielsen and Yaremchuk were on the training field. Nielsen was out with a (minor) hamstring injury against OH Leuven. Yaremchuk did not play the last matches of 2022 due to a calf problem. So he also trained outside. Whether the duo can be used for the game this weekend remains to be seen. Parker cannot count on Onyedika anyway: he is suspended after a fifth yellow card.
