Belgrade to host Champions League basketball Final Four this season in the UK

The Serbian capital Belgrade may host the Final Four of the Champions League basketball this season. The organization of the competition reported this on Thursday evening.

The Final Four starts on April 26 with the two semi-finals. On April 28 it will be known which team can lift the trophy in the Belgrade Arena. It is the first time that Serbia is the setting for the final phase of the Champions League basket.

The draw for the quarter-finals has also been announced. Spain’s Tenerife meets Turkey’s Bursa. The winner of this match will meet the German Bonn (coached by the Belgian duo Roel Moors/Lionel Bosco) or the Greek Peristeri in the semi-finals. In the other half of the table, the Spanish Murcia is fighting the Germans of Ludwigsburg, and the Spanish Unicaja is looking into the eyes of the Greeks of Promitheas Patras. The quarter-finals start on April 2 and each confrontation will be played as a ‘best-of-3’.
