Dion Cools (ex-Club Brugge) will play football in Thailand

After an employment of less than four months, Dion Cools has already given up on the Czech first division club FK Jablonec. The Belgian-Malaysian right back moves to the Thai national champion Buriram United, which officialized the transfer on Tuesday.

In Belgium, Cools defended the colors of OH Leuven, Club Brugge and Zulte Waregem. Cools closed the door at blue-black in January 2020 for a Danish adventure at Midtjylland, which loaned him to Essevee in the first half of 2022 before his contract was terminated. At Jablonec, he scored one assist in eight league games in the first round of the current football year.

Cools played for the Belgian national team in youth, but opted for an international career with Malaysia a year and a half ago. In the meantime he has already collected thirteen caps, in which he made the nets vibrate once.

Buriram is halfway through the current competition in Thailand in the leading position with nine points ahead of first pursuer Chonburi.
