The Norwegian Casper Ruud (ATP-3), the Dane Holger Rune (ATP-11) and the Briton Cameron Norrie (ATP-14) are the top seed there. The preparation is over for Zizou Bergs (ATP-129). He has to start qualifying in Melbourne next week.

Elise Mertens (WTA-29) and Alison Van Uytvanck (WTA-72) go to Tasmania for the Hobart WTA tournament. Mertens won that tournament in 2017 and 2018, good for her first two WTA titles and is now one of the favorites again. The Czech Marie Bouzkova (WTA-24) and the French Alizé Cornet (WTA-36) promise to become her main competitors.
