Ysaline Bonaventure to eighth finals WTA Auckland

Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA-95) has qualified for the eighth finals of the WTA tournament in New Zealand ($ 259,303) on Monday. In the first round, the Belgian qualifier beat American Caty Mcnally (WTA-93) 5-7, 6-4 and 6-4.

For a place in the quarterfinals, the 28-year-old from Liège will face Canadian eighth seed Rebecca Marino (WTA-63). He put aside the Hungarian Dalma Galfi (WTA-83) 6-3 and 7-6. Bonaventure played against Marino once before. In 2021, she was eliminated in the second qualifying round for the US Open 6-2, 4-6 and 6-4 by the 32-year-old Canadian.
