Spanish second division team is already looking for a way out for Jordan Lukaku

The career of Jordan Lukaku (28) is in the doldrums. The left back signed with the Spanish second division club SD Ponferradina last summer, but that club is already looking for a solution for Romelu’s brother.

Lukaku has only participated eight times in Spain, only once in the base and it is going from bad to worse. Since October 12, the left back only played three minutes more and he was not in the selection for the rest. Ponferradina is only just above the relegation places in the Segunda Division, but chairman José Fernandez Nieto already said: “We have to see if Jordan leaves.”

Lukaku’s contract only runs until June 2023, but the former Red Devil continues to struggle with all kinds of physical inconveniences, as in recent years. There may be a search for a new rental club in the lower Spanish series. A number of third graders – including Talavera – would like to make an attempt to bring Jordan in.
