No Eden Hazard in Real Madrid’s league win last Friday Real Valladolid (0-2). Our compatriot remained on the bench for the entire match, although coach Ancelotti had announced that Hazard would “get chances”. That chance will come on Tuesday evening in the Spanish Cup. “Hazard will play the next game.”

“He has worked very well in the past period,” Ancelotti said at his press conference on Thursday ahead of Real Madrid’s first league match – on the field of Real Valladolid – since the World Cup. “He is in better shape than when he left for the World Cup. He certainly plays a role in my plans for the near future. With the many matches we have on the schedule, I will need all my players. So Eden Hazard will also play more in the second part of the season.”
But Real had a difficult evening against Valladolid, had to be saved several times by an excellent Thibaut Courtois and only managed to win in the absolute final thanks to two goals from Benzema. And so Eden Hazard remained on the bench. “But in the next game he will definitely play,” Ancelotti assured. The next match is Tuesday evening at 9 pm in the 1/16th finals of the Copa del Rey. Real Madrid then plays on the field of CP Cacereno, a Spanish fourth division team.
