Reims drew 1-1 on the field of Lille on Monday on the seventeenth matchday in the French top division.

Jonathan David (ex-AA Gent) scored the opening goal for the home team after 33 minutes, but the visitors came alongside in the 79th minute via substitute Jens-Lys Cajuste. He scored after an assist from Thibault De Smet. Just like Thomas Foket, he started in the defense with the visitors. Foket was replaced by Maxime Busi after 71 minutes, De Smet was allowed to rest after 85 minutes.
In the standings, Reims hangs in eleventh place with 21 points. Lille is seventh with 30 points.
