Goffin himself will take on Stefanos Tsitsipas, the number four in the world, tomorrow, Monday. He leads in the mutual confrontations with 4-2. “Of course I remember all those duels. I know how he plays. But since our last meeting (3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Tsitsipas in Estoril 2019 semi-finals) he has made progress. He is now one of the best players in the world. he is a fighter, fighting for every point. He plays very aggressively and it’s hard to argue with that. So I’m faced with a tough task. I also play better and better myself. I will certainly give everything, that is for sure.”

In the game against Bulgaria, Goffin suffered a 6-4, 7-5 loss against Grigor Dimitrov (ATP-28). “I still want to remember the positive thing about that match. I played well. I feel more and more comfortable on the court. In today’s doubles I was able to get some more match rhythm. It was the ideal preparation for my match against Tsitsipas.”
