Club Brugge almost got hold of its coach. It is now also close to completing the arrival of Scott Parker (42).

Parker was released after being sacked after one year at Bournemouth in August. It was his second experience as a manager in the Premier League, having previously been at Fulham. He was there from February 2019 to June 2021 and experienced both relegation and promotion. Denis Odoi obviously knows him well as a former Fulham player.

As a player, Parker made it to Chelsea and Tottenham. He was a controlling midfielder and made 18 appearances for the England national team.

If Club manages to complete his arrival this weekend, Parker can already be on the field on Monday when training sessions resume. No time to lose, because next Sunday the crucial move to leader Racing Genk awaits.
