Will Still’s Reims got off to a good start at the Stade Auguste Delaune. Before half an hour the scoreboard indicated 2-0 after goals from Folarin Balogun and Alexis Flips. Just before half time, Arthur Theate kept Rennes in the match. Terrier extended a cross with his head and the Red Devil pushed the ball in from close range. Again Balogun, however, dashed all hopes of the visitors.
At Reims, Thomas Foket and Thibault De Smet played the entire match, Maxime Büsi did not leave the bench. Theate completed the 90 minutes at Rennes, Jérémy Doku came in at half-time.
Rennes is third in the standings with 31 points. However, if Marseille wins later in the evening, it can thunder off the podium. Reims is in 10th place with 20 points.
