This is how the international newspapers say goodbye to Pelé: “Four letters have never been so big”

The death of Brazilian football legend Pelé, who became world champion three times, dominated the front pages of newspapers around the world. The Spanish sports newspaper Marca filled its entire front page with his name and wrote: “Four letters have never been so big before.” Despite Lionel Messi’s world title, Daily Mirror says goodbye to Pelé with: “The greatest”. And also Daily Star titles: “The real GOAT”, the real greatest of all time.

One of the most important Brazilian newspapers O Globo printed no less than four different editions with different covers, each of highlights of Pelé’s career with the title: “Pelé Eterno”, “Pelé, for eternity”.
