VIDEO. Dries Mertens pulls out a magic wand for his scoring teammate, Galatasaray is currently the sole leader in Turkey

Dries Mertens and Galatasaray recorded a victory against Adana Demirspor (3-1) on the fifteenth matchday in the Turkish competition. Mertens played for 65 minutes and had a good time: when teammate Akturkoglu scored, the ex-Red Devil was the first to celebrate with him. Mertens pulled out a magic wand for his teammate whose nickname is Harry Potter.

Galatasaray soon seemed to have their sheep on dry land after two goals before the half hour from Sacha Boey (22′) and Kerem Akturkoglu (29′). Dries Mertens was responsible for the celebration of the 2-0. He pulled out an imaginary magic wand for Akturkoglu, whose nickname is Harry Potter since he shared a photo of himself wearing round glasses on his social media. The scene of the celebration indicates that Mertens had a good time and gets along well with his Turkish teammate(s).

However, just before half time, Demirspor striker M’Baye Niang (45’+4′) made it a game again with a goal from the spot. Only at the end of the second half did Galatasaray finally secure the victory after (again) a penalty goal by Mauro Icardi (90’+4′). Our compatriot Dries Mertens was taken off after 65 minutes.

After the victory, Galatasaray is currently the only leader in the Turkish Super Lig with 40 points, although number two Fenerbahçe can be on level terms again on Saturday if they win in the top match against Besiktas (third with 26 points). Demirspor is currently fifth with 23 points.
