Club Brugge will not be able to rely on super talent Antonio Nusa (18) in the coming period. The Norwegian winger has relapsed from his back injury. Ronny Deila was unable or unwilling to indicate exactly how long Nusa will be out of action. “But it will be a long time,” said the blue-black coach, who is gradually starting to receive more criticism because of the disappointing results. Although Hans Vanaken, like the rest of the Bruges core, continues to believe in their coach.

Club is underperforming these days – twelve points behind Union and only seventh in the league – and then the position of the trainer inevitably comes up for discussion. Captain Hans Vanaken emphasized that the group of players wants to continue with Ronny Deila: “The group supports the coach.” Deila himself also says he has not yet received any signals from the board that his job is in danger. He laughed: “But the moment they arrive, it may already be too late.”

With seven points from three games, Club is currently leader in group D ahead of Norwegian Bodo/Glimt and Lugano, who both have four points. The Turkish Besiktas closes the group with one point.

Uncertainty about Nusa’s injury

We are currently still waiting for the verdict. Nusa dropped out at the end of September with a back injury that ultimately kept him out for just over two weeks.

There is also a question mark behind the names of Casper Nielsen and Andreas Skov Olsen. They were unable to train fully on Wednesday.
