Manchester City narrowly avoided losing points against Borussia Dortmund. It was very difficult with the Germans, but in the end Erling Haaland brought relief: 2-1. During the other game in this group, FC Copenhagen – Sevilla, no goals were scored at all.
Manchester City – Borussia Dortmund
The first half in Manchester was quite disappointing. City mainly had the ball, but Pep Guardiola’s team did not succeed 1 time to place a ball between the posts. On the other hand, Dortmund only succeeded once with a weak shot from Salih Ozcan. The only highlight for rest was the tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Dortmund came out of the dressing room very strong. In the 52nd minute, Marco Reus had a good chance, but his shot went just wide. A few minutes later it was a hit: Englishman Jude Bellingham of all places nodded in a cross from close range after a cross from Reus.
Then went The Citizens hurriedly looking for the equalizer. Erling Haaland saw his attempt shatter the post. But actually Dortmund held out quite easily. A hard long shot from defender John Stones had to be used to also score a goal Cityto get on the scoreboard.
In the end, it was Haaland who hurt his old club. With a kind of karate kick he determined the final score at 2-1. City now have 6 points from 2 matches and are at the top of the group.
Just go home for a while!
Of course it is Haaland against his old team, but what a ball from João Cancelo ?Manchester City turn the game around in a phenomenal way, 2-1!#ZiggoSport #UCL #MCIBVB pic.twitter.com/57BUczBBeb

FC Copenhagen – Sevilla
The first act went pretty evenly between Danish champions FC Copenhagen and Sevilla. Both teams created a handful of good chances and it was especially Sevilla that became dangerous via Youssef En Nesyri. Copenhagen saw Victor Christiansen’s shot go just over Marko Dmitrovic’s goal. No goals were scored before halftime.
After the tea, it was again the Spaniards who often had the ball and had the most opportunities. Yet they did not score. Despite a lot of shots and a lot of possession. The 0-0 draw means the first point in group G for both teams.
