SERIE A. Genoa and Koni De Winter turn their deficit into a win against Lecce

Genoa kept the points at home against Lecce on Sunday afternoon on matchday 22 in Serie A. The host fought to a 2-1 victory.

Nikola Krstovic missed a penalty in the 18th minute, but made up for that miss by giving the visitors the lead in the 31st minute. Genoa showed resilience and went up and over Lecce within a few crazy minutes in the second half thanks to Mateo Retegui (70.) and Caleb Ekuban (76.). Belgian promising international Koni De Winter played the entire match in the winning camp.

Genoa remains eleventh in the Italian first division rankings, with 28 points. The last defeat in competition dates back to December 10. Since then, De Winter and co have triumphed three times and shared the spoils four times.
