| Botic van de Zandschulp cannot stunt against Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros

Botic van de Zandschulp was eliminated in the 1/16th finals at the Roland Garros tournament. The Dutchman was no match for Rafael Nadal, the number 5 in the world. Van de Zandschulp lost in 3 sets: 3-6, 2-6, 4-6.

In the 1st set, Van de Zandschulp started well with a break, but Nadal did the same a game later. Then it went straight until Nadal broke the Dutchman again and then won the 1st set 6-2.

In the 2nd set, Nadal had it even easier against the Dutchman, who again conceded 2 breaks. This was partly due to a mistake by the referee:

The Spaniard eventually won the second set 6-2.

In the 3rd set, Nadal quickly took a 4-0 lead, but Van de Zandschulp showed character and fought back to 4-5. However, the number 29 in the world didn’t get any further, because the next game was a prey for Nadal and so the Dutchman lost 4-6. This brings an end to this edition of Roland Garros for Van de Zandschulp in the 1/16th final.
