The football world in Panana is mourning the death of Luis ‘Matador’ Tejada, the country’s all-time top scorer. He scored 48 times in the 108 matches he played for the national team.
Tejada died of a heart attack during a veterans match on the outskirts of Panama City. He was only 41 years old.
The Panamanian Football Federation (FEPAFUT) paid tribute to Tejada on
“Tejada symbolized the development of football in our country. We will never forget our ‘Matador’. Goodbye legend. You are forever in our hearts,” FEPAFUT wrote.
