Lucas Lima arrived at Palmeiras in 2018, in a long negotiation after his departure from Santos. Verdão didn’t have to pay Santos anything, however, they signed a 5-season contract with the midfielder and salary of BRL 1 million monthly.

The midfielder played a lot in the first 3 seasons, but never fell in favor of the fans, this year, the player was loaned to Fortaleza, where he played in 17 games, scored 1 goal and gave assists.

The Lion of Pici, showed interest in having the player in 2022, however, the high salary weighs in the negotiation.

From Fortaleza, Lucas Lima receives BRL 400 thousand, the others BRL 600 thousand are paid by the São Paulo club.

Leila Pereira, the new president of Palmeiras, is even interested in lending the player, however, does not want to share the player’s salary, so, for Fortaleza to have Lucas Lima in 2022, they will have to convince Verdão’s new leader.
