David Goffin (ATP 39) knows his opponent when he returns to the tennis circuit. At the Caen Open, an exhibition tournament with seven men and four women, the Liege native will face Frenchman Jules Marie (ATP 821) on Thursday evening in his first match since the end of August.

After his defeat to Mackenzie McDonald in the first round of the US Open, the Belgian number one in the men’s season ended with an injury to the left knee.

On Wednesday evening Marie took the measure of his compatriot Lucas Pouille (ATP 155) in the quarterfinals with 6-3 and 6-4. (Belgian)
