Italy beats United States in Davis Cup

Italy started the final tournament of the Davis Cup in Turin on Friday with a win against the United States. Lorenzo Sonego (ATP-27) won 6-3 and 7-6 (7/4) against Reilly Opelka (ATP-26), after which Jannik Sinner (ATP-10) took the lead against Reilly Opelka (ATP-10) 6-2 and 6-0. John Isner (ATP-24).

In the doubles, Simone Bolleli and Fabio Fognini face Rajeev Ram and Jack Sock. Colombia is the third country in Group E. The six group winners and the best two runners-up qualify for the quarter-finals. (Belgian)
