National coach Valéry Demory and his sporting staff presented the final selection of twelve Belgian Cats with a view to Thursday’s first European Championship qualifier in Sarajevo and versus Bosnia.
The 16-year-old Nastja Claessens (Waregem) and the 20-year-old Ine Joris (Phantoms Boom) are out of the selection. 20-year-old Maxuelle Lisowa (Castors Braine) makes her debut with the Belgian Cats. The Belgian women are looking for a fourth consecutive European Championship. Eurobasket 2023 will take place in Israel and Slovenia. (cpm)
