1B club KMSK Deinze thanked coach Marc Grosjean on Monday for services rendered. The club announced this on its website. The 65-year-old from Liège had won 1-3 at RSCA Futures with Deinze on Saturday. The East Flemish club is fourth in the standings in the Challenger Pro League, three points behind leaders Zulte Waregem and Beerschot.

The club announced on its website that it had terminated its cooperation with Grosjean “by mutual agreement”. “The joint decision by investor ACA Football Partners and the board of KMSK Deinze to end the collaboration was taken with the aim of taking KMSK Deinze to a higher level, with the ultimate ambition to evolve to 1A,” it said.

Grosjean has been head coach of KMSK Deinze since October last year. The experienced trainer previously also worked at clubs such as La Louvière, FC Liège, Bergen, Antwerp, Eupen, Seraing, FC Brussels, Wezet, Union and Excelsior Virton. Deinze indicated that he wanted to appoint a successor as soon as possible.
