A few Belgian Lions once again performed brilliantly in strong European competitions. Among others, Ismael Bako performed strongly in Spain and Retin Obasohan in Israel.

The 26-year-old and 2m08 tall center Ismael Bako led with 12 points and 2 rebounds and in the Spanish ACB Manresa to an 82-90 victory against Burgos. The great performance in Spain ensures that Bako is in the spotlight of the Lithuanian EuroLeague team Zalgiris Kaunas. Still in the Spanish ACB, Hans Vanwijn (3 points, 2 rebound, 1 assist) won the “Belgian” duel between two ex-Giants and Zaragoza 82-72 of Real Betis with Vrenz Bleijenbergh (5 points, 2 assists). Sam Van Rossom (2 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists) triumphed with Valencia 71-70 against Joventut Badalona.
In the Greek A1 Loïc Schwartz (1 assist) lost with Promitheas 62-82 to Aris Saloniki. In the German Bundesliga, Elias Lasisi (16 points, 3 rebounds) beat Crailsheim 70-104 against Giessen. In the French Pro B, a strong Quentin Serron (11 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists) lost to Boulazac 72-53 to Antibes.
Khalid Boukichou’s double-double in Saudi ArabiaKhalid Boukichou also continues to perform strongly in Saudi Arabia.
